Position Description:
Impactivo Consulting seeks a motivated, proactive and hardworking candidate for an internship position beginning in summer 2012. The intern will be an important part of the team, working closely with consultants and the CEO to prepare proposals, conduct research and develop deliverables. Projects vary and may relate to, among others, public policy, health services, education, fundraising and non-profit management. This is an outstanding opportunity for an individual interested in learning about managing projects that create significant social impact. The internship offers exciting hands-on experience and the opportunity to gain new skills.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Qualitative and quantitative research and analysis
- Prepare reports, proposals and presentation materials
- Manage social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
- Support other related activities upon request
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor or Master degree, with a strong academic background
- Strong analytical skills
- Detail-oriented and good organizational skills
- Excellent bilingual (English and Spanish) communication skills
- Creativity and flexibility
- Strong interest in social value creation
- Capacity and willingness to learn new skills quickly and work independently
- Ability to manage his/her work schedule and productivity to meet deadlines
- Knowledge in using standard MS Word, Power Point and Excel functions
- Ideal applicants will have background knowledge in at least one of the following areas: public health, education policy, health policy, business, fundraising, or non-profit management.
Conditions:
- Duration: 1 year
- Stipend is available, commensurate with experience
- Outstanding interns may be offered further employment
