Post Doctoral Fellowship in Clinical Psychology

Providence Behavioral Health Associates (PBHA) is a large private practice offering behavioral health services to children, adults, and families in Rhode Island and Southern Massachusetts. We are offering full-time post-doctoral fellowships beginning September 1, 2022 within the Adult Behavioral Health and Child and Family Behavioral Health focus areas. Applicants should have completed a doctoral graduate program in Clinical Psychology with predoctoral training in delivering empirically-supported interventions in psychiatric settings, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, family systems, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches. Sub-specialty training in multicultural psychology and serving patients from ethnically or racially diverse backgrounds is emphasized in these fellowship positions.
Our practice is committed to training and has a strong history of training clinical psychology interns and post-doctoral fellows. The goals of this fellowship are: 1) to deepen training within the areas of adult and child behavioral health and use of empirically supported interventions, 2) to provide training in the use of telehealth as a means to delivering behavioral interventions, 3) to provide supervised clinical opportunities and supervision to attain licensure at the end of the fellowship, and 4) to participate in the practice's Social Justice Committee and to play a meaningful role in expanding our ability to offer culturally competent behavioral health services to diverse patient populations.
Supervision is provided on a weekly basis both individually and in a group setting with other trainees including post-doctoral fellows and psychiatric nurse practitioners. In addition, post-doctoral fellows will participate in the practice's biweekly case conference as well as attend grand rounds presentations offered by the Brown University Alpert Medical School.
PBHA is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive work environment for all of our employees.
