Her leadership in the Interamerican Society of Psychology, her founding of the International Conferences on Community Psychology, her templates for graduate teaching and dissertation mentoring, and her research on empowerment as a model for South and North America, all illustrate a depth and breadth of contribution to international psychology that is rare and most worthy of recognition.
